刚考完看看手机已经下午两点了，从九点到现在已经五个小时了，人在集中精力感觉时间流淌的特别快。 Verbal 154, Quantitative 168，明年再考一次吧。:

Issue: 59. Scientists and other researchers should focus their research on areas that are likely to benefit the greatest number of people.
、Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.
Argument: 7. The following is a recommendation from the Board of Directors of Monarch Books.
We recommend that Monarch Books open a café in its store. Monarch, having been in business at the same location for more than twenty years, has a large customer base because it is known for its wide selection of books on all subjects. Clearly, opening the café would attract more customers. Space could be made for the café by discontinuing the children's book section, which will probably become less popular given that the most recent national census indicated a significant decline in the percentage of the population under age ten. Opening a café will allow Monarch to attract more customers and better compete with Regal Books, which recently opened its own café.
Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation is likely to have the predicted result. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.
第一个出来的是Verbal，点背啊！！还好，第一个Verbal比较简单，做完还有八九分钟的样子，又检查了一遍。
Quantitative不难，可惜的是关键的单词有不认识的，比较一个半球的体积和相同半径和高cylinder的体积，我不知道cylinder是圆柱还是圆锥啊，就猜是圆锥吧，回来一查知道悲剧了。看来准备Quantitative的一个关键是一定认识一些数学词汇，比如之前考虑一个reciprocal，很多人不是悲剧了吗？
中间休息十分钟，随便吃了点东西，还好早饭吃的多，没有感到饿。吃东西的时候就已经预料到将要被第二个Verbal暴干了，正如我所料。
第二个Verbal的填空题句子明显变的更难读懂了，单词也有一些不认识，记得的词汇有punctuate、puncture、disparage、dismiss，panacea又考了。有些填空题和阅读题貌似以前的机经有人回忆过，那个actress的阅读又考了。考过的拿到填空题是辞职是一种bold的行为，同时又是a height of passivity还是an act of desperation?考前大家多看以前的机经吧。感觉这场考试就毁在第二个verbal上了，而且我确定第二个verbal一定不是加试。
第二个quantitative也不难，不过不小心还是会看错一些题的，我留十分钟检查发现了一个错误，尽管如此，还是有不小心掉进陷阱的。
第三个verbal也明显变简单了，跟第一个的verbal的难度差不多。
然后就结束了考试。
不知道最后Report的score是不是最后的成绩，ETS会不会还要调整一次，麻烦之前出成绩的同学告知一下。
感觉新GRE的设计还是比较科学的，虽然考的很一般，但准备的过程中词汇量和英语水平都提高了不少。新G对单词的要求确实没以前高了，不过逻辑这一关更需要长期的磨练和总结。
