that they have presumed are of the same species,and选B,抛开别的问题不看，关于D,是不是so that句型里， that 后面的代词必须指代主语呀？就是说they 必须指代fossilized skeleton？可不可以指代many other skeletons？因为感觉指代many other skeletons意思也说的通。

个人认为，代词指代之前的主语中，这道题只能指代skeletons, 因为其他的都是单数，并不引起歧义，而如果在别的句子中却会引起歧义。
注意到这个帖子很久之前了，随便讨论一下
