同位语是：Icelanders。
张道真语法大全里面说同位语结构中，数可以不一致：

关于倒装。我在百度百科 ‘倒装句 词条看到了这个：

在进行比较的句子里，如果主语不是代词时，可以倒装
例：America consumes more energy than did our country.（美国消耗的能源比我们国家多。）

但是我没有找到这个说法的来源。还需要查一下。
另外貌似这样倒装的例子很多：（我在其他地方搜到的一个提问 ）

原因是than 即可以做介词，也可以做连词：
比如：
I am taller than him (介词)
