og12上语法题不明白的（菜鸟级别，还望各位大侠指教指教）

OG12 中9.6 sample questions 的第5题：only 到底应该放在句子中的什么位置啊？og上的解释是：only is correctly placed next to the phrase it limits.我觉得讲得很模糊，那到底only 是放在被限制词的前面还是后面呢？我查了资料，有解释说：only最好是紧挨着它所说明的形容词或副词的前面，放在名词和带刺的后面，现在一般不那么讲究，就放在实义动词的前面，原题划线的句子是：ranks as the nation's thir leading cause of death,surpassed only,答案选A按资料上讲的，不就应该是only surpassed，答案是不是有问题，还是我理解有偏颇？求教！求教！

按 OG的解释应该是only+修饰强调部分这道题强调是是只被后面两种病超越。。而不是超越本身。。当时我也纠结了很久。。

Diabetes..., only surpassed by heart disease and cancer. 说的是 ‘糖尿病只是被心脏病和癌症超过’ 没有被其他的，比如没有被替代。因为only 在这修饰的是动词 surpass
原意想修饰的是那仅有的两种其他的病，那么就尽可能放在离它们近的地方，第一种更近吧，那就没有理由不选第一种了，即A
