I was asking advice but if you are locked into trading, I will advice you to go for an MFE =) MBA will give you fundamentals and some good stuffs about derivatives, but you will never learn how to model volatility curve using different models and things like that
I know several people that got into HBS/Stanford with less than 2 year exp... but they were from MBB of course, or GS/JPM/MS IBD Analyst with minority background...
Hi Infu, I don't know much about Chicago, but it will be difficult to get into Columbia with a two year work experience. Columbia seems to be diversifying away from admits with finance backgrounds so competition will be up a notch for you. Columbia seems to strongly favour candidates who have participated in some form of rotational programs within a reputable firm, and such a program might be difficult to complete with a mere two year experience.
