20% fee increase for UC graduate student

This morning, our governator has reached a deal with UC Regents. The UC budget will be cut by ~370 million this year. As a result, there will be a 20% graduate student fee increase for the fiscal year 2004-2005. In other words, for those going to Anderson, Haas, or other UC MBA programs, prepare to dole out ~$3-4000 more per year. Whether there will also be an increase in out-of-state fee is still unknown at this moment.

The silver lining is the January proposal called for a 40% increase of graduate student fee.

yeah, UC should eliminate in-state tuition for graduate schools all-together.

In today's world, no public school can maintain high standard with such a small budget.
