这个AA到底是在说个什么结论什么原因啊?

做PREP模考的时候遇到的题:

Motorcyclex has been manufactured in the US for over 70 years. Although one foreign company has copied the motorcycle and is selling it for less, the company has failed to attract motorcycle x customers – some say because its product lacks the exceptionally loud noise made by motorcycle X. But there must be some other explanation. After all, foreign cars tend to be quieter than similar American-made cars, but they sell at least as well. Also, television ads for motorcycle x highlight its durability and sleek lines, not its noisiness, and the ads typically have voice-overs or rock music rather than engine-roar on thesound track.

作者的结论到底是什么啊? 是不是说the company卖得不好是因为its product lacks the exceptionally loud noise呢? 支持作者的原因是foreign cars tend to be quieter than similar american-made cars.还有TV ads对noisiness只字不提什么的~~

好混乱...求解!

卖得好的原因不是the exceptionally loud noise

TV ads不提loud noise不就是为了支持跟loud noise无关嘛

就是说作者认为外国摩托卖不过Motocycle X不仅仅是因为X家车的exceptionally loud noise。

作者的论据有二：
1. 拿汽车的销售来做类比，foreign cars比国产车quieter，但也能卖得一样好 --> 暗含推出摩托的销售也是一样；
2. 拿Motocycle X的广告说事：广告里没有loud nosie，只有rock music什么的 --> X家摩托的highligh卖点不是noisiness.
