Hello there. Happy to offer up some thoughts here. If you don’t have any experience in a particular area, then you should absolutely NOT say that it is your career goal! Whether it is healthcare, real estate, etc.—if you don’t have any experience in that area, MBA adcoms will not take you seriously if you say that THAT is the area where you want to focus. After all, what if you try it..and hate it?! So if you have no background in healthcare, it will be VERY difficult to prove to an adcom that your calling is healthcare—because they likely wont believe you. Instead, pick something that connects to your past work experience. That way, you will be playing to the strengths in your application! I hope this makes sense.
