Beijing, July 29, 2009 – Charles Lei has been named the director of the MBA program for Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Cheung Kong's one-year, English-language MBA program is widely recognized as one of the leading business education courses in mainland China. It was recently ranked among the top five full-time programs in the country, according to a Forbes China assessment that rated programs based on their impact on career development. Lei has over a decade of senior executive experience working for Fortune 500 companies in China. He served as senior vice president, Greater China for financial news network CNBC, and in an earlier post, he was general manager for China operations at Walt Disney Television International. In his new role, working out of Cheung Kong's Beijing headquarters, Lei is responsible for comprehensive oversight of the school's MBA program, including the academic curriculum, student recruitment, and corporate relations. Lei earned an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is an honorary professor of media communications at Tsinghua University.
