1.than usual 的却是个固定搭配,但是注意到后面有个介词短语,读者就很不顺了,而B的意思非常清楚,不过这种考法不太会有了.其实是what is usual

2虽然until recently是强调使用完成时态的,但是更重要的是不管怎样athletes后面一定要复数的
3.a/b的区别是and then前后的逗号,请体会以下动作的逻辑关系

4并列结构,

就说这么多把,希望有帮助

3,A:句子 结构不完整,C :and then pounding不符合平行对称
D:in order to do repoussé表达有问题
E:Laying的逻辑主语不对。

1. 我认为B并不对. 补出助动词是优先于没有助动词,但是than usual是固定用法,没有必要加is.

2. 我认为until recently有两种时态可用, 过去时和完成时, 两种我都见过很多, 这里的问题是主语是athletes, 根据主谓一致, 要用were或have

3. A错在and明确表示并列, 所以要找到与lay并列的部分,可是A中没有其它的动词原形
B对, lay和pound并列
C错, laying, use, pounding不并列, 而且句型和意思明显错误
D错, 意思错,和原句要表达的意思不同
E错, laying和using的逻辑主语变成了repousse

4. 除了C还能选什么? A和B中的can多余, 在sense change in earth's ...中有can, 后面的can省略.DE意思和结构都错.
