答案是C。despite后不能直接接从句，但应该改成什么呢？吾百思不得其解。从句意看，逗号后有转折的意思，但用什么连词呢？请指教！

despite应该改成 which，which指代前面的A Dome of Many-Coloured Glass

我觉得which恐怕不对，A Dome of Many-Coloured Glass为conventional volume，而后Poet Amy Lowell却成为了progressive Imagists的领袖，句中明显有转折！

偶觉得应该没有转折的意思，sth succeed sb as leader,而which刚好做主语
