【提问】987上面的,补充-035……答案看得不是很明白

我还是不懂A的歧义发生在哪儿
其他几个选项也有点晕晕的

I think the pronoun it (after it passes through a red giant stage) is unclear, it can refer to a star, a white dwarf, a neutron star, or a black hole.
I feel C is better.

A的问题在于 IT 的前面出现了好多个单数名词  所以指代不清  D完全排除了代词的干扰

D 里面的“after passing through the red giant stage,”会不会歧义成修饰mass了呢?

A的问题在于 IT 的前面出现了好多个单数名词  所以指代不清  D完全排除了代词的干扰

哦 明白了。不会的,因为直接跟在star后面。star前面的whether已经开始了宾语从句。
