我觉得it 指代有歧异，抛开A的结构不平行不谈，我们假设A的结构是：

主（vincent...'s view of...）谓(is sold)宾($20.2) and it was.....

这个it 既有可能指代主语（vincen...'s view of）, 也有可能指代宾语（$20.2）

请求nn确认。

根据and 并列两个单句的平行结构判断，it应该指代的是前句主语 the bridge of trinquetaille，但是the bridge of trinquetaille不能使价格，插入语已解释说明它是一幅画。根据句意it只能指代$20.2million，但根据句子结构，it倾向于指代前句主语，所以it has no logical referent。

我赞成楼上的说法，it放在这里，应该是指代the bridge of trinquetaille，但是the bridge 不能

等于price，所以只待不合逻辑。同时，使用了comma以后，was 也不需要添加，“the second highest

price ever paid for a painting at auction”,只是modify "$20.2million"

节外生枝，若两单句平行，第二个单句的宾语用了代词，是平行指代第一个单句的宾语？还是会指代第一个单句的主语？感觉还是第一个单句主语如：My cellphone like hammer and I use it to hit nuts.

同意， “the second highwst price”在此应该是做“$20.2 million”的同位语
