A grasshopper is larger than is normal for a member for a meter of insect class.

I chose 'NORMAL'. can anybody explain?

我觉得is normal就是对的，不知道有无道理，这里的is可以省略，也可以不省略。如果同时出现，选不省略的。

我觉得应该是 is larger than normal.

因为这里是比较a grasshopper的size（和normal比）--具体我也说不清了，只是一种感觉。

新东方讲的，我也不知道对不对：

1，I am taller than you,对的。

2，I am taller than you are,对的

3，I am taller than are you,也对的

3个之中以3最为正式。
