Thanks baobaobear! pretty busy on a project these days, so didn't come here so often. This offer really cheers me up this morning, but now i have to worry about my visa problem and finanical situation

I think so too. since so many people are admitted, they won't admit too many more Chinese students! However, still cong. to the guys who have gotten in!

看到Duke今年录取的中国学生很多，真是高兴，相信以后Duke在中国的Alumni Network会很强大，这样对大家以后的发展都有好处。

对我来说Duke的Offer确实有些意外之喜，去年12月份赶在Deadline之前一小时提交的材料，当时感觉就不是很满意。Duke的Essay只有3篇，字数又有限制，给每个人发挥的空间不是很大，而我的本科成绩连2.8都不到，Toefl语法也不到60，对于Duke这所以学术严谨闻名的学校，当时确实只是报着撞大运的想法。果然，去年年底被告知国内的Interview无法安排，只能提交一份Additional Essay作为替代。不过这到给我提供了一个发挥的空间，把自己没能展现的闪光点全放到这篇Essay中了。

经过2个月的等待，居然又被通知国内可以作Alumni Interview。我相信这次面试是我能够成功的关键因素。这位Duke校友非常Nice，碰巧我们又是同行，因此谈的很投机，另外工作中锻炼的流利口语也给她留下了很好的印象。果然，不到一周Offer就来了。

万里长征走了一多半了，下面就要开始准备签证的问题了。我在CD上学到了很多，也认识了不少朋友，祝大家今年好运！
