我觉得a中的it指代有问题很容易让人觉得指代的是the majestic American chestnut 如果直接说squirrel会明确一点而且感觉上句子成分有点不对呵呵个人的看法

B的解释是被动不如A的主动好

好像a,b的侧重点不一样吧，a侧重的是it was said,b侧重的是a squirrel,况且主语从句的that不是不可以省略啊。
