I usually prefer not to give people direct advice on should or not because each of us will all have our own way of living and the better way is to be yourself rather than follow others' footprints without knowing what you truly want.
What I can say is from what you have told us, it seems that you've already had the ability to make money which is exactly one of the few things that people could expect from a MBA. To those who haven't been able to get into business school, getting an MBA may be more about fulfilling a dream just like what I was thinking exactly and it's definitely a good goal.
Now I'm getting my MBA degree and from what I've heard, seen and experienced, it's truly more about making money with a better career path after you graduate. Of course it would be wonderful if you would have contribution to the society and people would appreciate that very much but that's all based on your personal success after you graduate.
So first think about what you really want, then think about the amount of money you're going to invest in this deal and think about what a MBA can bring to you. Do a ROI analysis yourself. Nobody knows better about you than yourself do.
Sometimes getting a MBA can be all just about a feeling. Sort of like when you fall in love with a girl/guy. You can't tell why and you just want to be with the person because you like her/him very much for just a feeling. I was like that about MBA. It's been my dream for over 10 years and even though I did have struggle on my career path and which school to choose, I would never ever giving up applying for MBA unless something really bad happened to me that there was no way for me to accomplish that whatsoever and I was very very sure about that in my heart.
So ask yourself if you're that in love with it. If you're, then just do it because you would never get satisfied if you didn't try. If not, then thinking more about the practical side would be a better idea. |
