我当时选校的时候,我的推荐人给了我一些建议,可以参考一下。这个推荐人是美国OB领域蛮有名的教授,对这个领域的情况比较熟悉,给的建议还是很中肯的。 There are no formal rankings for Ph.D. programs in business, unlike rankings we have for MBA programs. Here's a quick list based on my own rankings. It is entirely subjective, and you may get different opinions from other people. However, I have talked about this with a few of my colleagues to get their opinions, and they are in agreement with this listing.
All of the Big 10 schools (those located in the midwest area of the USA) are pretty good for OB/HR Ph.D. training. From my perspective, the very best right now are Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, and Michigan State. The next tier for me would be Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota. Penn State and Ohio State have slipped quite a bit over the past few years.
Three schools in the Southeast part of the USA have very strong OB Ph.D. programs: Florida, North Carolina, and Maryland,
Other strong programs: Washington, USC, Cornell, California-Berkely, Arizona State, Texas A & M, and Texas.
There are plenty of second-tier schools that have decent programs (i.e., Georgia, Clemson, Oregon, Nebraska, South Carolina, Oklahoma....) but it would be very unusual for graduates of those types of schools to be considered for prestigious jobs. |
