What do you think the people should learn to succeed in modern society?

This is an era that historians call ages of information, where computer plays an irreplaceable role in every aspect of our life. With no doubt, the computer technology is a landmark in the development of mankind, bringing completely new method of production. Numerous information and revolutionary method of calculation lay a solid conerstone for people pursuing success. The companies, such as Microsoft, Google, Lenove, to name just a few, have become the dream place standing for success for young people. Therefore, many colleges arrange courses to introduce computer science, and it is to my point of view that a good command of computer skill is necessary for one’s success.

Firstly, with convenient access to internet, one can attain first-hand information from all over the world. Using Google engine, we can almost find linkings to any information and data we need. Besides, we can expand our interpersonal network by surfing websites for making friends and business counterparts, as well as keeping in touch with them more frequently by emails.In addition, with the daily use of computer finding its way to more and more companies, we can seize those job and internship opportunities by simply visiting the websites of those eminent companies. In 1998, an economic burst which helped the local people away from poverty happened in a small village in Shandong province and the leader became a hero. The leader’s success lied in the information he received from the internet, which consisted of the situation of the market determining what kind of crops to plant and the scientific methods about how to plant crops. Each of them played a significant role in the successful harvest.

Secondly, the technology of computer itself is a way to success. As a high-tech field, there exits multitude of possibilites beyond people’s imagination. And people focusing on research on it creat innovations with marriage of imagination and technology, which make them famous and wealthy. As is known to us, in most cases, wealth and prestige are the fundamental characteristics of success. For instance, Mr. Li Kaifu is a legendary man in the field of computer technology. His work was rewarded the one of “the annual most important scientific innovations” by the Scientific Journal because of his contribution to) computer technology. His masterpieces, such as QuickTime, QuickTime VR, and QuickDraw 3D bring revolutionary changes to the process of some professional work. Devoted to doing research in computer technology not only brings him fortune, but also makes him one of the most prestigious persons.

 All in all, learningcomputer technology is not only a way to get access to information, which guarantee that you can keep up with the trace of modernization, but also a process through which we can do further research on it. That’s why my propensity goes to computer technology.
