Following up on my message of March 27 introducing the EDHEC PhD in Finance, I am writing to stress that the programme’s application deadline is May 30. As a reminder, the EDHEC PhD in Finance is designed for outstanding individuals whose aim is to gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of finance as well as the ability to initiate and carry through research projects that will yield original insights and lead to innovative approaches and offerings. The programme is entirely delivered in English and offered in two tracks: a "residential track" for high-potential graduate students who will hold research positions at EDHEC Business School, and an "executive track" for high-level practitioners who will continue to pursue full-time jobs. The programme faculty are world-class specialists in economics, asset management and financial modelling. They bring together senior EDHEC scholars and outstanding affiliate professors from top research institutions such as Chicago GSB, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Princeton University, and Duke University. The handful of candidates accepted in the ‘residential track’ will receive full-tuition waiver plus competitive research/teaching assistantship compensation on the basis of three days of work per week. EDHEC MSc in Risk and Asset Management graduates who will be recruited for the programme will receive yearly compensation of ?8,000 net. Further information about the programme can be found in its brochure and at http://phd.edhec.edu. The application form for the programme’s residential track is attached. Ms Maud Gauchon should be contacted to request further information about the application process. Please note that EDHEC MSc candidates need only submit one recommendation form as opposed to two for ‘outsiders’; this recommendation should be from a professional or academic external to EDHEC Business School (in other words you need not approach your professors for recommendations for admission into the School’s PhD in Finance programme.) |
