这道题答案是D，可是选B为什么不对呢？要表达的意思不是都一样吗？

"from which" is not correct as it changes the meaning. The money is not from the subsidiary, but from selling the subsidiary. So if you think "which" refers to the subsidiary, and it is correct grammatically, the meaning is not the same. If you think "which" refers to "to sell its profitable...", then it is wrong grammar.
