Hi Everyone, First, congratulations to all those who got admission offers from various business schools! It is too early for you guys to prepare for school, but there are some work you can start thinking, such as housing application. If you have any questions, go ahead to ask the people who are already in school. Secondly, for those who applied but did not get any offer this year, don't be upset. 塞翁失马,焉知非福。Maybe there are some great opportunities waiting for you. Bschool is not the only way to success. On the other hand, people who are already very successful don't even need to go to bschool. I would suggest you guys reconsider whether bschool is the right thing for you. If your answer is "yes" again, then reconsider your application strategy and try again. If any question, just post it here, we (people in bschool) will try to help you out. Thirdly, I want to share some of my feelings about bschool, after almost two semesters in MIT Sloan. One of the best things of MIT Sloan (other top bschools should also have) is that it offers a great deal of opportunities for me to learn, to explore, and to know myself better. Looking for jobs is only one small part. As long as you are in one of the top schools, everyone ends up with a very good offer. It is the venture of exploring makes bschool a wonderful experience. Only after such experience, I know the true meanig of "open minded." To make the above point more deep, I think the whole life of a person is a venture of exploring. So, no matter you got Admitted or Not, keep your mind open, enjoy the venture of life. Best, Xi Zhao MIT Sloan School of Management Class of 2009 |
