Agree or Disagree:

The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour.

Passage:

As more and more rich Chinese become interested in travelling, many travel agencies have sprung up in the past years, providing services in organizing groups and guidance. But as far as I am concerned, to travel by myself would be my prior choice without reservation.

The main reason for my prospensity is that we travel to relax ourselves. Most people, including me and my family, choose to visit places of interest in holidays mostly because we wish to escape from our boring daily life and ease the tense nerves. And by planning my own routine and arranging a proper schedule, I can enjoy the tour most relaxedly, which can hardly be satisfied if joining any tour group. Instead of considering every member's specific requirements, in fact it is impossible for the agency to do so, the agency would carry out the arrangements that can help them make the most profits.

Another consideration that results in my choice is concerning people's various tastes. Some people prefer to take photos of the grand architect works, meanwhile others would rather spend more time breathing the natural air and enjoying the fabulous scerneries, as I would. Then what would happen if two tourists of the two types appear in one group, which happens very frequently? Unfortunately, neither of the two guys would have a good time, the reason of which is simple: they have different interests and when one is being excited, the other may be feeling it is a waste of time.

Besides, there is one more point I would like to explore, which is about dealing with the group members. Usually most of the guys in the group are randomly organized by the agency and are strange to each other, as well as the guide. That could now and then raise some bothersome problems, which may damage, or even ruin the journey. Thus, to travel with my family or several close buddies would be my preferable choice, in order to avoid those unpleasant conflicts.

Admittedly, to join a group led by a tour guide is convenient and can get us out of many trivial details. However, with all the factors contmplated, I come to the viewpoint that travelling without the guide is the better choice to realize the meaning of a tour.
