Many people believe that success contribute to luck sometime. However, I agree with the quotation that success comes only through hard working and totally not through lucky things. It takes people non-stop and even painful efforts to be succeed. If one believe he/she would succeed only because of his/her luck, necessarily, he or she will finally find being succeed is just a dream. Only non-stop hard working makes the final success. Nowadays, all of young people have their goals or dreams to fulfill. Only the success getting by hard work and persistence can we feel happiness and fulfillment. Without the long time striving and struggle, in our field, we can not outstand from the rest and success is nothing but a fantasy for us. For example, I, a postgraduate, was the only one student who won the graduate entrance examination in my undergraduate class last year. I spent most of mw leisure time in the library when my classmates enjoyed their campus lives .I would be un pleasure when others thought I can win the competition because I am a lucky guy. Luck is absolutely unreliable. It is possible that people obtain some momentary benefit by accident. For example, every year the lottery produce hundreds of millionaires, they are luck persons , but in my opinion they are not successful people at all. Also, the benefit by accident is not the sign of the beginning of success. A famous Chinese fable, for instance, a hunter once witnessed a rabbit rush to a tree slump, and dead, he got this trophy without any work, he felt very lucky and he waited near the slump all day long expecting there would be more stupid rabbits suicide in front of him. He is a typical person who believe in luck, but what did he rewarded at last? Unquestionably, he got nothing and waste much time. This story proves luck is undependable again. So, based on the above discussion, the true success is totally comes from people's hard work and striving against the difficulties. Luck is mere coincidence and there is no succedaneum for hard work, success would be only a fantasy without it. To conclude, it is hard work not luck brings us the true success. |
