Hard to say. You can obviously give a shot. In my opinion, you'd better ask yourself again whether you want to do such a PhD. You can choose a lot of ways to have reunion with your bf. Think more about whether you like doing research, or at least whether you will dislike it in the future.

In term of your education background, i will say it is quite good.

Thank you very much for being so considerate! I like to learn new things but I do know that pursuing a PhD is very struggling. I don't mind being in academia; but I can see I am not that smart to make a difference there. I would be striving for publications and probably at the most end up with a profeesor title... I don't feel very comfortable with that. I may still go to industry after that since with a marketing PhD it is still possible.

And I don't know what are the other ways to get together with my bf? You mean by getting married? I prefer to do it on my own
