About MSU Broad

Broad of Michigan State University ranks 37th in USnews business school ranking. But is ranks 2nd for the concentration of Supply chain management. Since my concentrtion is SCM, should I take it into my consideration?

Any one know more about MSU Broad, please help me!

I went to a mba tour in seattle and met a coordinator of MSU. I only got some info sharing with you.

1, yes, the scm is very strong in MSU.

2, about the career, in 2001, MSU was no.1, in 2002 it was no.2.

3, if your GMAT is higher than 720, you have the chance. the person asked my GMAT score, but it is only 680. she said, now schools are considering GMAT more than before, because it is one indicator of ranking. but if you have strong background with 680, you still have the chance.

4, the person came from YU NAN, and very nice. so I think people there have no racial discrimination.

hehe, I am the first student of MSU. MSU is one of best schools in the Supply Chain Management worldwide. All the professors I know in the SCM are very knowledgeable and nice. It is relatively easy to find a job for those students with SCM concentration.
There are 97 students in the first year. 5 students have Chinese background but only 3 (incl. me) came from Mainland with average GMAT 713 and 5.33 years' working experiences. MSU MBA is very small and personal, valuing teamwork. The campus is like a park with 松鼠, 兔子, 花栗鼠, 绿头野鸭和马.

Please check the thread http://forum.chasedream.com/list.asp?boardid=14, which is focused on PHD applications. Applications for MBA and PHD are quite different. If you have a specific question, I might ask someone for you but I can't guarantee due to tight schedule.

Finance is the second largest concentration at MSU MBA Program. About 30%-40% students choose Finance as their primary or secondard concentration. Few 2nd-year students can find IB jobs in the Wall Street and most place theirselves in the corporate finance jobs. However, the international students major in Finance is most difficult than those major in Supply Chain Management. It is interesting that those major in Finance have the highest salary according to the statistics, partly because few international students find finance-related jobs.
