The Milky Way is a (flat )spiral galaxy (who) contains
(an estimated )100 billion stars, (including )the Sun.

我知道B错了WHO 只能引导人,但是C 为什么对呢? 前面用AN, 后面是STARS. 不矛盾吗?难道是不是AN 100 BILLION?,也不对呀?

(Prehistoric )villagers (tended to) work harder, suffer
( from )more diseases, and eat (the )poorer diet than
nomadic hunters did.
这道题奇怪了,D 肯定不对, 因为比较级不能用THE,但是B,难道是对的吗? 这句话应该是谓语平行结构, TENDED TO, SUFFER FROM, 和EAT 是谓语,不是但为什么TEND 用过去时,而后两个不是呢,这不违反平行结构原理了吗?
如果考试碰到这种怪题就死了!

1、冠词只跟它最靠近的词来判断是A还是AN。

2、是WORK，SUFFER，EAT并列，都是TENDED TO的补语。

Prehistoric villagers [tended to work harder than nomadic hunters did], [tended to suffer from more diseases than nomadic hunters did], [and tended to eat poorer diet than nomadic hunters did]. Make sense?
