No money is a big problem. Under study and financial stress leads you to be nervous. Why do you have to go back China which limits your further career development? The atmosphere of doing research in us is much stronger than in China.

看人，我有个老师在200名的学校读的Phd，但在摩根斯丹利作过高级合伙人，作过花旗银行的副总裁，我同意kevinleihuang得说法，主要看论文和研究作品。

1，在美国senior partner 或 VP 并不一定是一个高高在上的职位。

2，在industry工作的话，学校的因素会小不少。

3，在Academia的话，你不能忽视学校对你学术发展上的引领和支持。我不会反对主要看论文和研究作品的观点，但一个好的学校，尤其是一个好的项目，能给你的太多了。应该看到自己研究和学校学术支持之间 HIGH CORRELATION. I an assue you it is very HIGH, basing on my experience...

以前听一个牛校经济系的Assistant Prof亲口说前10的ECON肯定对得起5年的宝贵时光，但是20名开外的就没有意思了，绝大部分毕业生找Academic job很困难。

ANY accredited US business doctoral degree is enough for Tsinghua and Peking faculties. Look at the profiles of the faculty in T and P. Almost scrap.
