Do you agree or disagree the statement？
It is better to broad knowledge of many academic subjects than specialize on one specific subject. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In the rapid-paced world, knowledge increase sharply and become more and more sophisticated and special. Some people believe that it is better to study many academic subjects. Nevertheless, others think that specialize on one specific subject is more important in their daily works. Although the generalist is beneficial to one’s everyday life, as far as I concerned, I did not have enough time and energy to learn more knowledge, so I believe that one who master a specific knowledge play a crucial role in one’s life.

An advantage of specializing on one specific subject is that people can save a lot of time to do other meaningful things. No one can have more than twenty-four hours a day, the time is limited for anyone, if we spend excess time on several subjects, we hardly have time to do other things. Take college students for example, there is no denying that the main task of them are studying, if they pay so much time to learn much knowledge that they have no time to do exercise, do part-time job, and other things. Maybe these things as important as study, even more useful.

Moreover, people’s daily work are demanded them specialized on one concrete knowledge. Generally speaking, people who work in a company is do a concrete job every day, therefore, specialist is more popular than generalist in a company. A computer company is a good example for this, what is the boss concerned not people who know much knowledge that have no relation to computer. People could deal with concrete jobs associate with computer who is right one they look for.

Although acquire more and more knowledge is useful for one’s life, people can always communication with one who master any certain fields. As for me, a post graduate student major in applied chemistry, I believed that specialize on one specific subject is very useful and practical to my job in future.
