该如何回信呢？- Part II

我最近跟很久以前陶瓷的一位教授又连系上了，他要了我的resume和PS去看了后，写了一封信给我：

I sent an e-mail to the head of our PhD program telling him about our correspondence, saying that I thought you were a very strong candidate and that the timing was good.  I should get a chance to talk with him prior to any decision.

It would make sense for us to have a discussion on the phone at some point.  My home phone is XXXXXXXX.  Feel free to phone during waking hours, weekday or weekend.

最后一段是要求phone interview的意思吗？如果不是的话，我给他打过去，都不知道要谈什么。该怎么回复他好呢？我的Eng.口语不是很好，如果这并不会影响到admissions的话，我是不大想自曝其短。是否可以告诉他有需要的话我会打过去？会不会影响他对我的看法呢？可否听听各位的建议？感恩。

电话是一定要打得，如果你不打，他反而会觉得有问题呀，你可事先多做些练习，把可能会谈的话题多准备准备。加油！！肯定能拿下的！
