答案是d，我不明白的是，没有less这个意思，那不是把原文的意思就改变了吗？

难道by  average of就代表了less的意思吗？

俺认为less 和 behind 意思重了

less少了以后是意思变了，

但是 to almost $24,000 less和前边的8，000我想是并列关系，但是这里用了to以后感觉就是表达目的这种意思了，所以一眼就排除d了

还是不明白

为什么E 的
            and by前要加逗号
            明明就跟不远处的by平行而已

而且prep里不是常出现因为加了逗号而必须跟主句平行的错误吗?

还有为什么D的by an average … to almost $24000 less 要平行

to是从8000到24000的意思啊
