My sample answer:-)

Personally speaking, I disagree with this statement for the following two reasons:

First, we must spare no effort to gain good things. Just as an old saying points out:"Opportunity never knocks our doors", and therefore, to wait may just means to miss these good things.

Second, sometimes waiting may induce death. For example, if we are trapped by our enemies in a severe battle, then we must try our best to fight in order to escape. In this situation, waiting may means the difference between life and death, and we may all be killed by our enemies if we just wait.
