Distance learning and online computer classes should replace classroom learning.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Classroom learning is a traditional method of teaching and learning which can date back to thousands of years ago. Even today, it is still a main teaching type in most all of the schools. The typical situation is that a teacher stands on the platform and a lot of students sit in their seats peacefully to listen. In this easy way, the students can learn the knowledge from the teacher.

But this traditional method of teaching and learning has a lot of disadvantages. As there are always a large number of students in a classroom, it is impossible for the teacher to assure that all the students can understand. And building schools takes places and be costly. In addition, much time is wasted on the road between the school and home everyday.

With the development of computer science and the Internet technology, distance learning and online computer classes attract growing interests and some schools have adopted these new method in some fields of teaching. The advantages are not difficult to be seen. To begin with, there are various kinds of knowledge and latest information, which provide the learners plenty of valuable resources.

Then, students can learn knowledge and skills more easily. What they have to do is to get access to the net through a computer. As well, they can learn by themselves. If they have some questions, they can ask experts in every place of the world by long-distance reference on the Internet.

At last, the new approach of learning is cheap. Because building of schools will not need, it can save much money and place. In the same way, people can study at home, so they don’t need to waste time to go to school. In consequence, the heavy traffic condition will also be released.

Besides the advantages of distance learning and online computer classes, we can’t neglect the bad effects. For example, cheating will be much easier in this method of teaching and studying and a better checking system is needed. In one word, this new method is still developing and hasn’t got to be mature. So in my opinion, the traditional way of teaching is better in recent condition.
