so gradual that they are unable to be distinguished 不选它是不是因为有被动？还有OG不是一直都提倡用SO THAT嘛，我个人感觉SO AS TO 不规范。

C Modernizing the steel mill,hopefully to be completed in the late 1980's will cost approximately 51 million dollars.

答案是E，但我觉的跟C比，E明显罗嗦啊。

请教NN们，EVEN IF 和ALTHOUGH在这里怎么区分？

1、are unable to be distinguished 是不好的用法，BE ABLE TO BE DONE是ETS不喜欢的表达方式。另外在单一主谓结构中，so ... as to的用法要比so that简洁，但ETS直接在这种结构中让你选择，一般会有其他的原因。

2、it is hoped 比hopefully优先。

3、不是十分清楚，请NN出面。不过这题感觉时态排除更好。

同学们，我今天又遇到了SO的题目，但和上面的有冲突：

Unlike a hurricane,which can be observed from within, a tornado is so small that such a study has not been practial.

其实E： so small as to be impractical of study.答案说这个是错的，原题是对的啊。。。我没想清楚为什么SO THAT 和SO AS TO 到底怎么区别？
