以下是引用airggcii在2006-3-9 18:27:00的发言:just like you said, they earn more money after graduating from B-school, what if they just stay in big 4 without a mba degree? Do you think they can earn as much as a MBA? They can't without staying there for more than at least ten years!
I agreed that experience in Big 4 is valuable. But for B-school applicants, 4 years or 7 years in big 4 is identical. I also knew a girl in big 4 admitted by a top b-school this year, who is only the second year staff!

OK I am by no means arguing.......just for discussion purpose ;)
1.) People staying with big 4 for 9 years is not necessarily less successful than people with 7 years with a MBA. MBA is an investment rather than an earning itself....whether MBA helps depends on the person himself...some one needs it whereas some one does not.
2.) 4 years and 7 years are not idendical to b-school applicants. (4 years may be suitable for some one but not necessarily for every one) Even if 4 years and 7 years are identical to b-school applicantion, the difference in working experience will have effect on the post-b-school position of the applicant.
