C选项虽然我也排除掉了，但是我看og的解释说in the future不知道修饰哪个adj or verb. 我就突然有一个疑问，时间状语能修饰noun吗？比如说 I love you (who are) in the future，打个比方这个人是从未来穿越过来的,我喜欢未来的你。这个in the future能不能修饰you呀？如果能修饰的话，这个时间状语也是有歧义，因为它可以修饰love这个动作也可以修饰you这个名词。
PS: 我在网上查了很多资料，状语主要是修饰动词和形容词的，求NN解答。

我突然想通了，不知道理解的对不对。我给的example里面in the future 是who are in the future.从成分上讲，“in the future”是形容词。虽然他是介词词组，但是介词词组不一定作状语，可能做定语。

你后来的想法是对的，介词可以做定语可以做状语。做定语的时候是挨着谁就修饰谁，做状语的时候放置的位置就比较随意。所以C选项会出现歧义。不过C选项最大的问题还是which。
