- 1. What will the class-size and student background be approximately this year? I would be more than happy to know the expected proportion of students’ nationality, working industries or undergraduate majors.
- 2. What kind of financial support will be offered at the MSBA Program?(因为没有拿奖所以问了一下financial aid)
A:
1. We anticipate having approximately 80 students in the incoming MSBA cohort this year. We do not know the intricacies of the class yet, as there are still a few more rounds of admissions decisions ahead of us. Most of our students tend to hail from Asia, but there are a lot of nationalities and varying educational backgrounds represented in the program. Most students do not come with work experience beyond internships, and undergraduate majors vary wildly. While all have had some academic or professional experience to inform their decision to apply to a business analytics program, advanced knowledge in the field is appreciated, but not required. Many will have used or studied R, Python or more advanced technical skills, but these are not necessary for success in the program.
2. Regarding scholarships, all applicants are reviewed for scholarships once they are admitted, and those who are awarded one are notified in their acceptance letter. Unfortunately our process is quite competitive and we were not able to extend a scholarship offer to you. There are other options to consider regarding funding your education here. There are on-campus jobs posted for the first semester, and research and teaching assistantships that become available in the second semester. While there are no guarantees, these are posted on our Student Financial Services website.
