A.B 因为比较对象的问题肯定都不对

那么C,D里的Double是什么词性呢？
  如果是动词肯定不对啊，There were X, verb.+sub.这样成立吗？
  如果Double是形容词，There were XXX, adj. 这样成立吗？

double在这做什么词性？
它既不做动词，也不做形容词
但是double还有一个重要的词性，叫做前位限定词。
具有这个词性还有gmat常见的twice/both/twice/all/half 等等

通常结构：
前置限定词 + 冠词/物主代词/形容词 + 名词

作用：
对后面的名词进行数量上的修饰

这里，double做前位限定词的意思是：twice as much as the figure for 1981

第二题：

FANBOYS和分号是常用的连接两个句子标识。

明显前者逻辑不通啊。小说怎么能是一种结果呢? 通常我们会这样说：间谍小说的诞生/兴起是冷战的结果，而绝不会单单说间谍小说是冷战的结果。
换个例子，人们是二战的结果？不对吧。我们会说：人们对战争的反省/人们精神的创伤/是二战的结果。
总而言之，就是Y的变化才是X造成的结果。间谍小说没有体现任何结果变化属性，所以不对。而其销量则是结果变化属性，所以正确。

2. during the Cold War, when 和 in the 1960s, when

when的修饰是有问题的。
when修饰Cold War的话，整个句子的意义就不对了。

冷战从1945开始，直到苏联解体才结束。
大多数美国人在整个冷战期间都意识到威胁的话，小说在60年代畅销。这个表达毫无逻辑可言。
大多数美国人在60年代意识到威胁，因此小说在60年代畅销。这个逻辑才说得通。
