求助og-sc诊断练习第87题中more than likely的用法

原题：according to scholars, the earliest writing was probably not a direct rendering of speech, but was more likely to begin as a separate and distinct symbolic system of communication, and only later merged with spoken language.(a) was more likely to begin as
(b)more than likely began as
(c)more than likely beginning from
(d)it was more than likely begun from
(e)it was more likely that it began
没太弄明白og的解释：when more is used in the comparative form of an adj(more difficult) or adv(more likely), it is followed by than
那岂不就是说只有more than likely 这样的结构是对的可我为啥觉得more likely than /more difficult than 也是对的呀
另外题意其实也没太理解选项中a b 里的as 作用是和 cd中的from 一样嘛 as&from在这里有没有什么不同诶？

其实这道题更多地在看固定搭配。
固定搭配1：more than likely=very likely
固定搭配2： begin as=was born as
begin from 字典上没有这个搭配
be begun from= 永远错
