关于A of B和后面修饰结构的逻辑关系可以参考以下几个例子：
1. Color of the rock, which is yellow, is very strange. （which指代color of the rock）
2. Citizens of Shanghai, which a big city, are very rich. （which指代Shanghai）
3. He came up with some great ideas of this issue, including reducing the school rates. （including修饰great ideas of this issue）

根据语义，应该是cloud of particles expand, 然后trigger a storm的这一过程brighten and knock，并且根据parallelism也可以排除D、E选项
