Teaching Assistant at CEIBS, a Leading Business School in Shanghai (full-time)
Background: We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant in the area of management, especially Leadership, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Management. The position is at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), one of the leading business schools in Asia (www.ceibs.edu). The candidate will work with Profs. Sebastian Schuh and Byron Lee to support the development and administration of new courses to students at MBA and Executive levels. S/hewill also be involved in cutting-edge research projects on leadership and human resource management.
Job tasks include but are not limited to the following: 1. Course design: Assist with developing new courses and teaching materials – e.g., on the topics of Effective Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Decision Making, Managerial Psychology:
a. Reviewing the relevant literature b. Finding / developing relevant exercises c. Support with writing new case studies d. Preparing lecture slides.
2. Course administration: Preparing course materials and coordinating logistics; support with grading. Dependingon the skills / interests of the candidate, it may be possible to involve him /her in short parts of the class-room teaching. 3. Research activities: Supporting new research projects with literature research, data collection, management of research panels, etc.
Job Requirements: 1. Bachelor degree with focus on psychology, management, and / or education (Master degree or PhD would be aplus) 2. Keen interest / experience in management education 3. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 4. Proficient in English and Chinese – reading, speaking, and writing. 5. Able to commit for at least 1 year. 6. Ideal starting date: June 2019.
