这里的in是介词，而having是动名词短语，而名词是没有逻辑主语的，所以这里我们不知道是哪种蚂蚁having nests，而C选项的定语从句更加的明确。

谢谢～我可以这样理解和总结吗？ in having 算是一个介宾短语，而介宾短语修饰谁是要看逻辑的，这里修饰leaf cutters and most other ants，或者raider ants 都是行得通的，所以不太清晰。
另，之前有看到一个知识点，我想能解决我的问题了，就是“ 介宾做定语，修饰主句的主语”。这个句子的主语是raider ants，而这个修饰语与句子后面make a portable nest...是矛盾的，所以d是错误的。
