新人请教PREP07,151题（ron的解释有点看不懂）

答案是D
我去看了RON的解释，对于E和C的解释其中有部分内容我没有看懂
E的解释：to see why choice E is wrong, compare it to similar-looking structures that are correct.
e.g.,
The longer a person is exposed to the poison, the more likely he or she is to die.
The fewer carbohydrates people eat, the less likely they are to be overweight.
SUBJECT
WHAT THE SUBJECT DOES OR IS

'there' is not a subject, so you can't put 'there' where the blue thing is.

this choice is presumably written as a (bad) derivation of 'there are xxxxx' (roughly the same as 'xxxxx exist').

in other words, it's pretty much a waste of your time to pursue these choices beyond basic parallelism.

as for choice C... choice C is not a thing at all. in fact, i can't make any correct sentence that looks like choice C.
so, i really can't give you any meaningful analysis of it, beyond saying that it's not a thing.

as i wrote above, though, it's a waste of time to break down choice C—you can just use parallelism, which is absolutely guaranteed to exist in any sentence like this one.
ron完全不想解释了为什么！！C跟E的区别不是likely的位置不一样吗？为什么就完全不对了
求解答真的想不明白啊！！

我觉得RON上面这一句话基本就解答完题目了
下面是他给的句子
The longer a person is exposed to the poison, the more likely he or she is to die.

看下结构  the longer a person is......,the more likely he or she is....
很好的平行呀  不就类似于本题吗
按RON的说法他基本读完句子直接就选到答案了他也薯片了  按para 就可以直接做题啦  使劲分析C的likely什么都就是 a waste of time
至于平行平行不局限于 both ...and.... ,这类词
我之前在哪po过一个例子

谢谢你的讲解，这道题是选A吗？
其实我的问题就是you can't write 'the more xxxxx, the more likely yyyyy' unless you actually have parallel ideas xxxxx and yyyyy.这句话我没有看懂..就让我很迷惑，你能说说你的理解吗？
还有就是那个likely，就这种副词位置的问题我经常做错，比如could easily be bought 和could be easily bought我就会搞不清有什么区别

以下所有内容都是粘贴自我的笔记--RON讲的内容嘻嘻我只是单纯搬运哈（这道题RON讲过）
The concept of “parallelism “ extends to larger structures
If any 2 things are similarly presented in the sentence ,they should look  as like as possible (....Unless there is a REALLY GOOD REASON ,IN CONTTEXT ,TO DO OTHERWISE )
#If you return your library books later ,you will accrue fines
  You do this ...... ，you do that ......
#If you return your library books late ,fines will be accred
这里第一个句子就比第二个句子好因为这个句子表达的就是你还晚书，你积累罚款，所以最好是平行~
但是如果你不想表达这个意思，那就用不到这个平行了
If your library books are returned late ,you will accrue fines
这句话想表达什么？
你的书被还晚了，你积累罚款
言外之意是啥？ i don’t care who returned them ,then you will personally be responsible for the fines
（此外 as /like 本身就是comparison marker 不是吗我之前在哪见过一句话ｃｏｍｐａｒｉｓｏｎ其实就是平行哈具体的我忘了找打补上来）
回到题目咱们看下这个是原句

虽然原句不对但是意思还是很清晰的
Background needed by A in order to do sth
NA needs knowlege XXXX in order to do sth
你在想想这句话
If any 2 things are similarly presented in the sentence ,they should look  as like as possible
所以你直接写成
A needs background in order to sth
不就完美了吗！

感觉你选A 可能是理解成一个结构了
Like XXXX(modifier) ,LLLLL do sth
但是放到这题目里也不对呀，background needs ???
EX

ike my brother ,i like playng video games
我这句话的意思是 my brother likes playing playing video games
你选A 总不能是 background needs .....

然后在拉回你PO的这个题目
说的是一个道理
