最后回答你一遍,我已经解释过最简单的理解方向了。
只能从最简单的little修饰不可数，排除掉E，little of differences这个用法是错误的。
D选项，little作为pronoun，用法上类似noun，也就是说后面可以直接加一个that，而且也满足了little that is...的主谓一致。
Little that is...这里句式来说并不常见。面对一个你不会的结构怎么办？GMAT各种各样奇奇怪怪的句式真的太多了。这里只可以用排除法而不是填空题，我做题的时候就会先把这个句式看作是不懂的而不是错误的。

Idiomatic usage. In the phrase 'little of X', the X has to be a singular quantity. If it's plural (like 'differences'), then you have to use few.
There was very little food left over at the end of the party.
There were very few crab cakes left over at the end of the party.

首先，必须要感谢你回答我的问题。
其次，我现在看的就是PREP 07语法笔记。俗话说的论坛整理解答版。
再次，With all due respects，我依旧质疑你。E的little和D的little是不同的。E的little of X的用法。借鉴剑桥词典用法举例：
little /ˈlɪt.ļ/ US /ˈlɪţ-/
pronoun, noun
We did very little on sunday.
Very little of what he said made any sense to me.
Unfortunately, little of the artist's work has survived.

D、E的little用法都是pronoun。E的little of 用法的little指后面的differences。D的Little指的是前面的generalization。这个你说对了。但是你说得不完整。那么现在，我对D、E的区别有了更深一步的认识。
