答案是选C 按照单复数其实很好理解  但是有一点疑问是 it's allowed that 难道不是一个惯用的搭配么而且句子中动作的发出者也不一定是restores呀。。。真的想不清楚

关于AB选项他的解释一直都是 indrect  我实在不是很能理解indrect 和direct  为什么the use of 就是一种direct的表达方式呢

第一题，整个句子就像是古迹恢复者在自我叙事一样“他们说.....如果他们可以......”这种一致性的表达难道不好过其他形式吗？另外从语法上说，it's allowed that 放在这里就不能硬性的理解为固定搭配了，allow谁去做什么？it指代什么？

第二题，直接的表述就是“xxx diminish xx”, 用一个句子表达最简单，而不是从句。
