关于现在分词状语,前置,后置,与夹心修

由OG13 SC106引发的问题，

B选项的解释中提到，having……without destroying it实际上修饰的是第一个修饰语.  也就是说现在分词状语可以由前句话的宾语发出(夹心修饰可以由前句话最后一个词发出)？

与之矛盾的是,之前看mht语法说，现在分词的动作一定要由主句主语发出?

我记得曼哈顿语法上说的是分词做opening modifier 的时候，动作是由后面句子的主语发出的。

楼主这道题的情况是两个 modifiers 叠加在一起。这中情况，第二个modifier 可能用来修饰第一个modifier，也能用来修饰后面句子的主语，有 ambiguity 所以通常是错误的。而且这里第二个modifier 由前面的宾语发出也不能一概而论, COMMA VING 的用法通常是修饰前面整句句子的；这里只是个特殊的情况因为只有air polluant 才由可能。

所以通常modifiers 叠加在一起，在SC中是不太容易对的，除非是修饰关系非常的清楚。
