刚开始看以为是考平行的，就选了E，但是语意理解还是不对
答案B，但是句子结构我分析不出来了，大神们帮帮忙分析一下，先谢谢了~

DP1: 句子完整性。register是及物动词，CD缺register后面的宾语，死；
DP2:指代。D中it指代the presence，而不是fever，导致后面的when it is there变成when the presence is there，illogical meaning，杀
DP3:把AB的one还原成a fever，再补完整，看句子：
The defective thermometers will sometimes fail to register a fever when it is present and indicate that there is a fever when it is not present.
vs
The defective thermometers will sometimes fail to register a fever when it is present and indicate that a fever is present when it is not present.
你选一个读起来意思明确的？

这句话的大意是：使用有缺陷的温度计有时会出现这样的情况——明明发烧的状况检测不出来，而把明明不存在状况给检测出来了。

是的，就是句子结构分析不出来，也没有分清楚到底考哪几个点的

看来我平行这块死板了。。。我理解的是，前面是v+ to do,后面是v+clause,这样也能平行吗？还是说只要都是V就平行了？谢谢谢谢了
