关于Manhattan Prep 中absolute phrase部分的讨论

最近在看Manhattan，看到chapter10 中其中最后一个部分为
absolute phrase 部分有点让我难以理解，不知道能否有大神可以指点一下
absolute phrase = noun +noun modifier
for example: his head held high, Owen walked out of the store.
作者解释为 noun: his head Noun modifier :held high
the absolute phrase is to describe how Owen walked
而且认为Owen walked out of the store， his head held high. 这个也是对的
我就想问，我怎么看都觉得是两套主谓语，没有个连词，怎么这个句子是正确的泥？是有什么从句或者修饰巨型我没有看出来吗？
另一句话我也觉得很奇怪
Scientists have found high levels of iridium in certain geological formations around the world,results that suggest the cata impact of a meteor millions of years ago.
这个句子，给出的解释为 results 是名词 that suggest....ago是名词修饰语，result 没有修饰the world，修饰的胃have found or high levels of iridium
关于这两个句子我是非常的迷惑的，不知道有没有大神可以帮忙回答这个问题，谢谢啦。
