175 Some students like classes where teachers lecture (do all of the talking) in class. Other students prefer classes where the students do some of the talking. Which type of class do you prefer? Give specific reasons and details to support your choice.

With the development of society and the improvement of education level, students will play a more important role in classes now.(students are spending more time in the class now)When it comes to the issue, which manner is your preference, just listening to the teachers lecture or participating the talking, everyone has his own choice. As for me, I will choose the former. Among numerous factors which support my choice, I will explore only a couple of conspicuous ones here.

First of all, the primary cause for my inclination is that it is efficient way to get lots of information from the lectures in limited class time. The teachers hold a large capacity in knowledge in the field which they devoted to. After all the time in classes is not enough and should not be wasted by our discussion or talking which are sometimes just meaningless. We should make efforts to master and record the points the teachers give us. (the points which were given by the teachers)Only by this way, we can acquire more knowledge from many subjects in school period. In my opinion there are no better reasons than this to demonstrate my standpoint suitably and clearly.

In the second place, another persuasive reason should be considered is that we used to the pattern of class. Here a concrete example can be presented. From elementary schools, we get the custom to listen to the contents that teachers passed down to us. As far as the width and the depth in knowledge, the teachers’ are far beyond us. Listening carefully to every point will do good to our final exams.

Admittedly, it is necessary to take a glance to the argument of the other side. When students take part in some discussions, the atmosphere in class will be active. Teachers and students will not face each other so seriously. However, these do not weaken what I advocated and not overwhelm the significance that I stated. When the advantages of these two sides are compared carefully, the most striking fact is obvious.
