I think it is easier to apply POE to SC. When I review GMAT, I summed up grammar points and listed them in a Word file. Those points are key to me. I will read the SC and find the obvious errors first, such as tense of verb, plural or singular, etc. Also, if you have seen most of the SC questions, you would be able to tell the tricks.
Remember, after you pick out the dead-wrong choices, you need to focus on the difference between (among) the remaining ones. You need to make sure you understand the whole sentence, and the structure. Sometimes the underlined part has to agree with the rest of the sentence, both in tense or logic. So always make sure that you have read carefully the whole sentence. If you cannot tell which is right, dissect the sentence and find the subject, verb and object. Then use the basic grammar concepts to find the one that you feel more comfortable with. |
